TAYLORS, S.C. – To benefit the Humane Society of Greenwood, FATZ®, home of the World Famous Calabash Chicken®, will be hosting a Calabash and Cops Tip-A-Cop event on Oct. 15, 2011, from 11 a.m. – Close, at the restaurant on 1302 Montague Avenue in Greenwood, S.C. Law enforcement officers will be seating and serving FATZ® guests in exchange for tips that will directly support the Humane Society of Greenwood, a not-for-profit organization committed to the compassionate care and protection of animals.
The Humane Society of Greenwood
strives to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused and neglected
animals. They provide education to the public on responsible and
humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their
pets by providing low cost surgery and encourage the adoption of
animals placed in their care.
