TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at North Belair Road restaurant in Evans, GA, on August 6, 2011, to benefit the First Baptist Church of Evans. From 8 – 10 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the First Baptist Church of Evans. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to assist in the fundraising efforts for “Singing for a Cause,” a Youth Choir Mission Trip to Canada in 2012. The First Baptist Church of Evans was founded on August 10, 1930, and was formed to create a Baptist church in a rural community. Over the years The First Baptist Church of Evans has served as a lighthouse in the Evans community, offering a hand to various activities.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $7 and can be purchased by
contacting Gail Pendergrass at 706-373-9993 or
coachgailp@gmail.com. All attendees are encouraged to bring a
donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for First Baptist Church
of Evans.
FATZ® introduced the idea of a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser in
2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping
the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since
its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $800,000 for charities
and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving
lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff
volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for
organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
