TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the Forest Drive restaurant in Columbia, SC, on May 21, 2011, to benefit Hidden Wounds. From 7:30 – 10:30 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support military veterans. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help military veterans or active-duty military personnel suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or depression.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $7.00 per person and can
be purchased by emailing info@hiddenwounds.org. All attendees are
encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts
for Hidden Wounds. Rebecca Bowen Bearden, Mrs. South Carolina
America 2009 & Mrs. South Carolina Gallaxy 2011, will be the
special guest of the morning helping support Hidden Wounds.
FATZ® introduced the idea of a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser in
2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping
the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since
its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $600,000 for charities
and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving
lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff
volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for
organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
