TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the East Dixon Boulevard restaurant in Shelby on August 27, to benefit the Cleveland County March of Dimes. From 7:30 – 10:30 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Cleveland County March of Dimes. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to raise awareness for the March of Dimes and Cleveland Countyʼs mission to improve the health of babies and on time delivery. The Cleveland County March for Babies raised nearly $25,000 and had 400 walkers in attendance in 2010. Their goal this year is to meet and exceed last yearʼs numbers and to become one step closer to having all babies born healthy.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast
are $8 and can be purchased by contacting the Cleveland County
March of Dimes at (704) 418-5047 or
clevelandcountymarchofdimes@gmail.com. All attendees are encouraged
to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for the
Cleveland County March of Dimes.
FATZ® introduced the idea of a
Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser in 2009 with the specific purpose of
making a difference and helping the local community grow where
every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised
more than $800,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ®
opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on
Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community
to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The
United Way.
