TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® Spartan Avenue in Asheville is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the restaurant on July 30, 2011, to benefit The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation® supported by Ride for Kids®. From 8 – 10 a.m. FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation®. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help find the cause of and cure for childhood brain tumors. Each year 4,150 children are diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor in the U.S., making this cause near and dear to many hearts.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $7 for adults and free for
children under the age of 6 and can be purchased by contacting
Patricia Harvey at (941) 735-1065 or at greenlaps@aol.com. All
attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ®
fundraising efforts for Ride for Kids.
FATZ® introduced the idea of a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser in
2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping
the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since
its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $600,000 for charities
and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving
lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff
volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for
organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
