FATZ® HOSTS SHORT STACKS FOR BIG CHANGE TO BENEFIT AMERICAN LEGION POST NO. 34 HONOR GUARD February 06, 2012

TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 478 South Herlong Avenue restaurant in Rock Hill, S.C., on Feb. 18, 2012, to benefit American Legion Post No. 34 Honor Guard. From 8 – 10 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the American Legion Post No. 34 Honor Guard. After eight years, Post No. 34 Honor Guard continues paying respect and honor to deceased loved ones who have fought for our country by shooting three volleys of seven rifles, blowing taps and presenting a folded American Flag to the family. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help the American Legion Post No. 34 Honor Guard buy new uniforms, ammunition and maintenance and gas for transportation.

Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years of age and can be purchased by contacting Dan Boone at (803) 493-0816 or Gary Cowley (803) 487-0227. Tickets also available from any Honor Guard member.

All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for American Legion Post No. 34 Honor Guard. FATZ® introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $1,000,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
