TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 5 Spartan Ave. restaurant in Asheville, N.C., on Dec. 3, 2011, to benefit Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry. From 8 – 10 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help fuel the efforts of the Hominy Valley Crisis Ministry in purchasing food for those in need throughout Buncombe County.
Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Cheryl Wilson at (828) 259-5300 ext. 327 or Cheryl.Wilson@abccm.org. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry.
FATZ® introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $1,000,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
