FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 212 Wall Street restaurant in Camden, SC, on Sept. 10, 2011, to benefit the D.R. Congo, AFRICA, Memorial Basketball Court. From 7:30 – 10:30 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the D.R. Congo, AFRICA, Memorial Basketball Court. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to raise money for the Basketball Court at Shalom University in memory of David Stroup.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast
are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Mary-Ellen Stroup at
BilStroupaol.com. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation
to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for D.R. Congo, AFRICA, Memorial
Basketball Court.
FATZ® introduced the idea of the Short Stacks for Big Change
Fundraiser in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference
and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is
located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $800,000
for charities and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11
a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ®
staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money
for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
