TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 5 Spartan Avenue restaurant in Asheville, N.C., on Jan. 14, 2012, to benefit Erwin Varsity Cheerleading Squad. From 8 – 10 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Erwin Varsity Cheerleading Squad. The girls have won 10 state championships, the last nine in a row, and hope to bring home the 11th championship this year. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help send the team to the state championship and provide accommodations, food and uniform accessories.
Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Beth Mclamb at 828-231-8276 or coachmcbeth@charter.net. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for the Erwin Varsity Cheerleading Squad.
FATZ® introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $1,000,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
