FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the Waccamaw
restaurant in Spartanburg, S.C., on Sept. 24, 2011, to benefit The Family of Elias Jackson. From 8 – 10:30 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes. With Hollywild Zoo supporting the breakfast, proceeds will be used to help the Jackson family payoff expenses after their 2 year old son, Elias, was tragically taken when a tree limb fell on him while playing in his own front yard.
Tickets for Short Stacks for Big
Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 and can be purchased
by contacting Linda Poole at (864) 427-2038 or Linda@hollywild.com
or by visiting Hollywild Zoo. All attendees are encouraged to bring
a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for the family of
Elias Jackson.
FATZ® introduced the idea of Short
Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a
difference and helping the local community grow where every
restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more
than $800,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ®
opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on
Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community
to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The
United Way.
