TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 7420 Board River Road restaurant in Irmo, S.C., on Feb. 25, 2012, to benefit The Pink Posse Philes. From 7:30 – 10:30 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the Pink Posse Philes. Started in 2007, the Pink Posse Philes is a group of breast cancer survivors roped together with the common bond of giving encouragement and support to others with breast cancer. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Pink Posse Philes Package, a program at the South Carolina Oncology Center where the ladies bring packages with items cancer patients can enjoy while having treatment. The Pink Posse Philes also have plans to expand the program to Lexington Medical and Palmetto Health Children's Hospital with the money raised.
Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Bren Miller at (803) 708-0104 or Pink.Posse.Philes@gmail.com. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for Pink Posse Philes.
FATZ® introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $1,000,000 for charities and
community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
