TAYLORS, SC - FATZ® is pleased to host a pancake breakfast at the 3101 W. Market St., Suite 101 restaurant in Johnson City, Tn., on Dec. 3, 2011, to benefit the United Way of Washington County. From 7:30 – 10:30 a.m., FATZ® will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support the United Way of Washington County. Proceeds from the breakfast will be allocated towards helping the 17 partner agencies of the United Way. To better serve the community for those at risk or at need throughout Washington County, The United Wayʼs services range from crisis needs and helping the homeless to after-school care for children and adult day services for the elderly.
Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change, a pancake breakfast fundraiser, are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Susan Creek at (423) 282-5682 or officeassistantuw@centurylink.com. All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ® fundraising efforts for United Way of Washington County.
FATZ® introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ® has raised more than $1,000,000 for charities and community organizations. FATZ® opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
