The first FATZ Cafe opened in November 1988 with humble roots, operating out of a converted peach shed in Spartanburg, S.C. FATZ Cafe was founded with principles to secure a convenient location, develop a varied, reasonably-priced menu, and offer ample portions of quality food, while providing upbeat service in a comfortable atmosphere. The ideals that emerged from that shed all those years ago still stand strong today at every FATZ Cafe location.
Today Cafe Enterprises operates 48 FATZ Cafe restaurants across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Cafe Enterprises is headquartered in Taylors, S.C. The company actively supports charities in the communities where it does business, having donated over $2 million to date and counting. This money is raised through our Short Stacks for Big Change fundraising program which was started in Summer of 2009.
