FATZ CAFE BEGINS PARTNERSHIP WITH KEN ALEXANDER III September 04, 2013

GREER, S.C. – FATZ Cafe® is proud to announce that they are entering into a five year partnership with Ken Alexander III to serve as Operating Partner in Greer, S.C.

Alexander has been an employee of FATZ Cafe since 2012 and this will be his first Operating Partner agreement. He has made a financial investment in FATZ Cafe and this five year agreement includes subsequent five year options. Alexander will continue to execute his leadership role to fulfill the FATZ Cafe commitment of successfully preparing employees for their positions at the Greer location while providing a positive example for them. Alexander will also continue to focus on maintaining superior quality food served with friendly southern hospitality for guests.

Alexander joined the FATZ Cafe Pottery Road location in Spartanburg in May of 2012 as a service manager. He then transferred to the Greer location and also spent time as general manager at one of Cafe Enterprises’ other restaurants, Tavern 24 on Woodruff Rd. in Greenville. Alexander is a graduate of Virginia Tech University with a degree in Economics. The favorite part of the job for Alexander is the relationships that he is able to build with his guests in Greer.

“I’m really looking forward to signing my first Operating Partner agreement with FATZ Cafe. I enjoy all aspects of being a service manager and I’m excited to take on this new role,” said Alexander. “As the Operating Partner of the Greer FATZ Cafe, I want to ensure that every guest leaves with a dining experience that includes exceptional food and one-of-a-kind service. Greer is a close-knit town made up of wonderful people and I want to continue to give these people a restaurant that they can take pride in.”

“Ken has really accomplished a lot since joining FATZ Cafe. I have high hopes for him as an Operating Partner,” said Jim Balis, CEO of Cafe Enterprises. “It’s always exciting to welcome a new member into the Operating Partner family and we’re excited to have Ken become part of this family. Ken will do great things in Greer and I look forward to watching his success.”

The first FATZ Cafe opened in November 1988 with humble roots, operating out of a converted peach shed in Spartanburg, S.C. FATZ Café was founded with principles to secure a convenient location, develop a varied, reasonably-priced menu, and offer ample portions of quality food, while providing upbeat service in a comfortable atmosphere. The ideals that emerged from that shed all those years ago still stand strong today at every FATZ Cafe location.
