TAYLORS, S.C. – The University of South Carolina and Clemson University go head-to-head every fall for football bragging rights in the state of South Carolina. FATZ Cafe is joining in on the rivalry fun this season with USC and Clemson giveaways to fans from both teams at certain home games.

“Nothing gets our guests fired up like college football,” said Jim Balis, CEO of FATZ. “On Saturdays during the fall FATZ becomes the place to watch the game on television with friends or to grab a complete tailgate feast if you are heading to the stadium. We are big football fans too and wanted to get into the spirit of one of the best rivalries in all of sports.”

Gamecock fans will have another reason to cheer when they enter Williams-Brice Stadium this fall.  For each of the seven home games this season, FATZ Cafe will randomly award one fan with the following:

  • Two tickets to an upcoming Gamecocks home game.
  • A pre-game tour of Williams-Brice Stadium.
  • An autographed visor from head football coach Steve Spurrier.
  • The opportunity to take the field and possibly win a FATZ Cafe tailgate package for 40 people, valued at $400, by participating in a punt, pass and kick skills contest.

The punt, pass and kick promotion will offer one contestant, prior to the start of the game, the opportunity to punt and then pass a football on the field.  The spot where the ball landed after the punt and the pass will be marked and at half-time the fan will attempt a field goal from this location.  If the fan makes the field goal, they will win the FATZ Cafe tailgate package.  There are no losers in the punt, pass, and kick promotion.  If the fan misses the field goal, they will still walk away with a FATZ Cafe gift card valued at $25 and their two tickets to the game, tour of the stadium and autographed visor from Steve Spurrier.

USC fans can enter to win online at  FATZ Cafe will randomly select a winner one week prior to the home game the fan is winning tickets to.  This contest will run August 12-November 24.

Not to be outdone by their instate rival, Clemson Tiger fans will also get the chance to be victorious and treated as a college football MVP.  Two winners and their guests will receive a fan experience rivaled by none.  This experience includes:

  • In-studio seats at a Monday Night Tiger Calls radio broadcast with head football coach Dabo Swinney.
  • Behind the scenes tour of the West Zone, Howard’s Rock and an up-close look of the field.
  • Clemson goody bag that includes autographed items from football, basketball and baseball coaches.
  • FATZ Cafe gift card.
  • Clemson tickets (3 per winner) to the Military Appreciation football home game against Citdal on November 23, a home conference basketball and baseball game, with recognition during each game via announcements and video boards.
