July 15, 2009
Taylors, S.C. - Fatz Cafe, the 47-unit Southeastern restaurant chain and home of World Famous Calabash Chicken®, was ranked on the Restaurants & Institutions magazine's 2009 "Top 400" list as one of the leading restaurant chains in the country. The annual "Top 400" list recognizes Fatz Cafe for increasing total year-over-year revenues (2007-2008), which resulted in the company jumping from #266 on the "Top 400" list to its newest position at #245.
"Despite the challenges restaurants
are facing due to economic pressures, we have remained focused on
our fundamentals, which have always been offering great food in a
warm, friendly atmosphere," said Steve Bruce, president and CEO of
Cafe Enterprises, parent company of Fatz Cafe. "It is quite an
accomplishment for Fatz Cafe to be recognized among many successful
restaurant concepts from such a well-respected restaurant industry
news source."
