TAYLORS, SC – Fatz Cafe is honored to host a pancake breakfast at the Pooler restaurant on Feb. 26, 2011, from 7:30 – 10:00 a.m., to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Association of the Coastal GA Region. The Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to eliminating Alzheimer’s disease through advancing research, providing programs and services to those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and serving as an advocate while spreading awareness of brain health to reduce the risk of dementia. Money raised from the breakfast will benefit the Savannah Walk to End Alzheimer’s, an event that will take place on October 15, 2011, to help aid The Alzheimer’s Association’s goal to support individuals with Alzeimer’s and their families who often serve as their caregivers.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $7, which includes
pancakes, sausage links, fruit cup and a beverage. Advance tickets
are available for purchase by calling Jami Murray from The
Alzheimer's Association at 912-920-2231 and will also be for sale
at the door the day of the event.
Fatz Cafe introduced the idea of a Pancake
Breakfast Fundraiser in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a
difference and helping the local community grow where every
restaurant is located.
In 2010, Fatz Cafe raised over $475,000 for organizations
ranging from local schools to The United Way. Fatz Cafe values the
opportunity to strengthen its surrounding areas and will continue
to raise even more money to touch the lives of its community
members in 2011.
