GREENEVILLE, T.N. – FATZ Cafe ® is proud to announce that they have entered into a five year partnership with Tammie Gass to serve as Operating Partner at the Greeneville, T.N. location. Ms. Gass is a 10-year employee and this will be her second Operating Partner contract. She has made a financial investment to FATZ Cafe and although her agreement is for five years there are subsequent five year options. She will take on a leadership role in fulfilling the FATZ Cafe commitment to superior quality food served with friendly southern hospitality.
Gass is a Greeneville native and was hired as a service manager two weeks prior to the Greeneville FATZ Cafe opening in 2003. In April 2008, Gass signed her first 5-year Operating Partner contract with FATZ Cafe. Her son, Gareth, was entering East Tennessee State University at this time in 2008 and Tammie was excited for new opportunities for her and her son.
“My love for FATZ Cafe has remained ever-present over the past decade. I felt that way in 2003 and my love has only grown, this is my home,” said Gass. “FATZ Cafe is a company that truly cares about their guests and their associates happiness and well-being. I know that our success here in Greeneville is because of the relationships our "Team" has created with our loyal guests.”
“Tammie has been with the Greeneville FATZ Cafe from day one and has made us proud every step of the way. Over the past ten years, she has exhibited great leadership and our guests love her,” said Jim Balis, CEO of FATZ Cafe. “We’re grateful to have Tammie as a member of our company and the FATZ Cafe family. We continue to look forward to our future with her and the great things she is sure to accomplish.”
The first FATZ Cafe opened in November 1988 with humble roots, operating out of a converted peach shed in Spartanburg, S.C. FATZ Café was founded with principles to secure a convenient location, develop a varied, reasonably-priced menu, and offer ample portions of quality food, while providing upbeat service in a comfortable atmosphere. The ideals that emerged from that shed all those years ago still stand strong today at every FATZ Cafe location.
