Taylors, S.C. - Cafe Enterprises, Inc. announced today that Fatz Cafe has become the title sponsor for amateur angler S. Daryl Fontana, Jr. in the sport of bass fishing. "We were looking to expand our sports sponsorships. It was by chance that we met Daryl and learned of his journey to become a professional bass angler and saw an opportunity to do something different unlike any other corporate sponsorship," said Margo Mize, Fatz Cafe Director of Marketing.
Fatz Cafe recognized that the sport of fishing was a natural fit
for the company. Fishing is a favorite pastime of American families
and a great sport enjoyed by young and old alike in the areas in
which the company operates. These factors drew Fatz Cafe into
further conversations with Daryl to explore the possibility of a
sponsorship. "The family and competitive aspects of fishing echoed
the character of Fatz Cafe, and Daryl's journey reminded us of our
own. We, too, had humble beginnings and great aspirations and know
what such a journey is all about," stated Richie Cannon, Fatz Cafe
Vice President of Operations. The company found that Daryl fit
perfectly with who they are - a team of people who are passionate
about what they do and who have fun doing it - and decided it would
be proud to sponsor such a devoted individual. "The entire Fatz
Cafe family is thrilled to able to offer him friendship and support
on his journey to become a professional bass angler," said
Cannon.
As for Daryl, he was elated that Cafe Enterprises would consider
taking this journey with him. "I saw the morals, values, and work
ethic that are the heart and soul of the Fatz Cafe family and
thought it would be an honor and privilege to be a part of such a
great organization. I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative and
grateful I am for this incredible opportunity. Their support and
inviting me to be part of the Fatz Cafe family is more than I could
ask for. I look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with
Cafe Enterprises and being part of the Fatz Cafe family," said
Daryl.
This is only the beginning of Daryl's journey of personal growth,
development, and success as a professional bass angler, and both
parties look forward to traveling it together into the pro-fishing
circuit. Fatz Cafe invites everyone to follow Daryl's story of
progress and discover how far he can get in the sport he so loves.
