Taylors, S.C. - If you're looking for a lunch spot that offers everything from crispy chicken tenders to piping hot soup and refreshing salads, your local Fatz Cafe may be your next weekday lunch stop. Starting Monday, July 20, the 47-unit Southeastern restaurant chain and home of World Famous Calabash Chicken® will offer guests a new variety of great-tasting items in the right portions and at the right price.
New to Fatz Cafe's lunch menu are the
delicious Ying Yang Tacos, three flour tortilla shells filled with
crisp lettuce, diced tomatoes, black beans and fresh cilantro
topped with your choice of Popcorn Shrimp or World Famous Calabash
Chicken® tossed in a sweet and tangy sauce. Also new are the Fried
Green Tomato BLT, a tasty twist on an American favorite combining
southern classics like Texas toast, Sheri's southern pimento cheese
and fried green tomatoes topped with remoulade sauce and the Knife
and Fork Chicken Philly with caramelized onions, peppers, and
mushrooms topped with provolone cheese and served on a toasted
hoagie garnished with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Cool and
wonderfully refreshing options include the Key West Shrimp Salad,
lightly sautéed shrimp, chilled atop a bed of crisp romaine
lettuce, cherry tomatoes, carrots, red onions and cucumbers, tossed
in a light olive oil vinaigrette and the made-from-scratch Chicken
Salad Pita Pocket with diced tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and Fatz
honey mustard dressing.
Fatz Cafe's Creation Station, a
favorite among many, continues to allow guests to create any
combination from a list of delicious soups, salads, half
sandwiches, and more for $5.99.
"We expect our new lunch offers will
resonate highly with our guests"," said Richie Cannon, vice
