TAYLORS, SC – The Gaffney location of Fatz Cafe has partnered with many organizations through its Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser program, raising $42,331 in 2010 to benefit the local community. Groups big and small, ranging from local schools, church groups and non-profits, have participated in the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. The program goal is to lend a helping hand and great food to bring neighbors together and enrich the Gaffney community.
Fatz Cafe opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to
regulars, but early on Saturday mornings, Gaffney Operating Partner
Won Kim and Fatz Cafe employees set up the restaurant five hours
early and volunteer with groups like the East Gaffney Baptist
Church, Corinth Elementary School and Habitat for Humanity,
transforming Fatz Cafe into a hot spot for hotcakes to raise
awareness and funds for local organizations.
Fatz Cafe values the opportunity to strengthen its communities
through giving back. In 2010, Fatz Cafe raised more than $475,000
from 47 locations across five different states to benefit
organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
